Waking at 6:52 instead of 7:00 can be the difference between groggy and fine. How a thirty-minute window works.
Sleep comes in waves. Every hour and a half or so you drift up close to waking, then sink back into deep sleep. Wake at the top of a wave and you feel fine. Wake at the bottom and you feel terrible.
A window, not a time
You give Dusk the latest you can get up. It watches for the top of a wave in the half hour before, and wakes you there. Never later than you asked, only ever a little earlier.
Same night, same hours. A different morning.
It won't fix a short night. But on a normal one, it makes the first ten minutes of the day noticeably kinder.
