The short version
Dusk works out your sleep on your phone. We don't record sound in your bedroom, we don't sell your data, and we don't show ads.
We keep the least we need to run your account and to know whether the app is working.
What stays on your phone
Your sleep chart, your journal entries and anything Dusk learns about your evenings are worked out and stored on your iPhone, and in your private iCloud if you turn on sync.
Sound is analysed as it happens, only to tell whether you're moving. It is never saved or sent anywhere.
What we keep
If you make an account: your email address and your plan. If you subscribe, Apple handles payment and tells us only that your subscription is active.
Anonymous counts of crashes and which screens are used, so we can fix problems. These never include your sleep data.
Apple Health
If you connect Apple Health, Dusk reads sleep from it and writes your nights back to it. That data stays in Health on your phone; we never receive it.
Your choices
You can export or delete everything from Me, then Privacy, in the app. Deleting removes your data from your phone and our servers within a day.
You can turn off anonymous usage counts at any time in the same place.
